It is an irrefutable fact that computers, in this contemporary world, have become a crucial part and parcel of our society. Considering this, whether computers have made our lives easier and convenient or made it more complex and stressful is a matter of discussion. However, both sides of the argument will be examined before deducing a reasonable conclusion.
There is a variety of factors wherein the fact that computers have made our lives simpler and convenient could be supported. Initially, the effectiveness of tasks performed could be a substantial factor to be considered. It is generally believed that a computer could easily perform a task not only in much quicker but also in much effective manner comparatively. A recent survey, for example, has revealed that one computer is equivalent to 10 people when it comes to performing certain tasks. Besides, increased accuracy of the performed tasks may be another noteworthy factor to be considered.
Despite the factors discussed above/aforementioned factors regarding benefits of computers, they have also made our lives complex and stressful is even a crucial aspect. Physiological and psychological health impacts could be a significant factor. It is generally seen that the over-use of computers in our daily lives have made us lethargic and dependent, which has affected us negatively.
In conclusion, indeed, computers have adversely impacted our lives; however, as far as I am concerned, merits of owning a computer outweigh the demerits.
