It is an irrefutable fact that tourism, in this contemporary society, has become an indispensable part and parcel of our society. Considering this, this essay will ascertain the pros and cons associated with tourism in underdeveloped countries.

There are numerous advantages of traveling to the underdeveloped countries for tourism purposes. First and foremost, budget holidays could be a substantial benefit to be considered. It is generally believed that planning holidays to these countries is, comparatively, not only a cheaper but also a convenient option. A recent article, for instance, revealed that holidays to Bali and Thailand are 10 times cheaper than a holiday to Europe. Besides, boosting the economy of the host nation could be another notable benefit to take into account.

Despite the aforementioned advantages regarding the holidays to third world countries, there is a disadvantage as well, which could not be neglected without any careful deliberation. Safety and security of the tourists could be a single most detrimental impact. It is generally seen that instability in the political scenarios in these countries leads to ineffective law and order systems, which may lead to unsafe conditions for the visiting foreigners.

In the end, indeed, tourism in the underdeveloped countries has many advantages; however, the negative aspect of this trend needs careful contemplation.
